We are proud to sponsor an exceptional team of students from ISAE-SUPAERO and the National Veterinary School of Toulouse (ENVT) who are on a bold mission: to develop surgical techniques that could be used during future space missions.
The ATLAS Parabole Project – where science meets space
The project, known as ATLAS Parabole, is part of the prestigious CNES Parabole PostBac program. In October, the team will test their groundbreaking concept aboard a Novespace zero-gravity aircraft, experiencing weightlessness as they put their ideas into action.
For months, the students have been working tirelessly:
- Designing 3D prototypes for space-surgical tools
- Building anatomical models for realistic simulation
- Engineering mechanical and electronic systems for zero-gravity conditions
This is more than an academic exercise – it’s a pioneering step toward space medicine, where veterinary expertise meets aerospace engineering.
