Once every four years, ISCFR and EVSSAR join forces for a single, combined conference – and this June, we were lucky enough to be part of it in Bangkok.

It was wonderful to reconnect with familiar faces from the reproduction community and meet plenty of new ones, all while soaking up the latest research on small animal reproduction.

A definite highlight for us was presenting our brand-new Male Dog Castration Model, alongside the Sampling Uterus – a simple yet effective extension for our Gynnie model.

And since no conference story is complete without a fun fact: we discovered that chilled green tea isn't just great for beating the Bangkok heat – it turns out green tea extract also helps preserve chilled dog semen ex vivo (Manita Wittayarat et al.). Who knew conference small talk could double as a journal club?
