Rita Rhesus
From Research to Market
Rita was developed in close collaboration with the German Primate Center and is based on the anatomical features of the adult rhesus macaque. The model design combines scientific expertise with practical requirements – enabling realistic, animal-sparing training at the highest level.

Realistic puncture training
Blood draws and injections can be performed realistically on the anatomically correct placement of the femoral vein. The skin-like vein module also allows for the placement of venous catheters. The saphenous vein on the lower leg becomes visible when compressed – ideal for practice-oriented training scenarios.
Mobile, secure, and flexible in training use
Thanks to the integrated hip joint and stable holder with suction cups, Rita can be securely fixed and used flexibly. The vein module is easily removable and can be quickly replaced if needed – enabling efficient, repeatable training in everyday lab routines.
