From research to market

Weany was developed in close collaboration with the Reproduction Clinic at the Freie Universität Berlin. The model design combines scientific expertise with practical requirements — for realistic, animal-friendly training at the highest level.

Puncture training for safe practice

The intravenous (i.v.) module in the jugular groove enables realistic blood sampling from the vena cava using a conventional needle or vacuum system. The connected blood reservoir allows blood aspiration upon correct puncture — providing safe and practice-oriented training.

Intramuscular injections

Weany can be flexibly positioned thanks to movable shoulder and hip joints, simulating the handling of a real running piglet. The integrated intramuscular (i.m.) module allows realistic training of intramuscular injections into the neck muscles.

Training for real-life situations

The intracardiac injection module allows practice of intrapericardial injections under realistic conditions. Palpable ribs enable anatomically accurate localization of the puncture site, while the puncturable heart chamber provides direct feedback—ideal preparation for euthanasia procedures in practice.
